Need to prove timely filing? There are two steps to do this, the first is to download a Claim Report. If that isn’t successful, the second step is to request a Timely Filing Letter.
Note: A Timely Filing Letter can only be requested after you’ve first attempted to prove timely filing using a Claim Report.
Step 1: Use Claim Reports
Claim Reports provide formal submission records that include file details and transmission outcomes.
- In Service Center, select Reports then Claim Reports.
- Claim Reports are organized by file. To find the correct file, use the Received Date (when Office Ally received the claim) filter to narrow your results.
- Locate the file that includes the claim in question.
- Click the Download button in the right column.
- Provide this report to the Payer as proof of timely filing.
Step 2: Request a Timely Filing Letter
If your payer requires an official letter and you’ve already submitted a Claim Report, you can request one by submitting a Timely Filing Letter form.
Find the form here: Requesting a Timely Filing Letter.
- Fill out the form completely.
- Download and email the completed form to Support@officeally.com.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email with a case number.
- Please allow Office Ally 2-3 business days to review and complete your request.
- Once the letter is complete, it will be emailed to the authorized contact email(s) listed on your account in a password protected file (due to the patient information contained in the letter). We will call the Contact Person listed on the request with the password to access the file.
