Adding and Managing Users

This article explains how to add, view, edit, and delete users — including providers — within Office Alley Service Center. Users can edit their own account information at any time. However, to add, edit, or delete another provider, you must be logged in with a Security Administrator account.

Adding and Managing Users in Classic Service Center

Once logged into Service Center, navigate to Classic Service Center. Go to the bottom of the side menu, hover over the Admin section under Main Settings, and click Manage Users. From this window you can manage users and providers that have already been created — disable, edit, delete, or reset security credentials.

Steps

  1. Create a New User
  • Click Add New from the Manage Users window.
  • The form is the same for providers and all other user types. Your selections determine permissions and level of access.
  • Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*). Fill out as much of the form as possible.
  1. Complete the User Information Form
  • Complete Section 1 (Account Holder): enter the user's basic information. The login must be unique across the system.
  • Complete Section 2 (Account Settings): define the user type (provider, administrator, staff, etc.) and configure the inactivity timeout.
  • Complete Section 3 (Application Access): select which platforms this user should access. Under Advanced Settings, configure email confirmations, department assignment, and optional access-hour restrictions. Check the EPCS box if the user will enroll or approve others in the EPCS registration process.
  1. Configure Permissions and Access
  • Click Next to advance through each page, providing as much detail as possible.
  • On the permissions page, define which sections of the platform this user will have access to. Click Next to continue.
  • On the final page, optionally enable Emergency Access, which grants the user 3 hours of platform access in an emergency. Click Create User to complete the process.
  1. Delete or Manage Existing Users
  • To delete a user, select the individual from the list and click the trash can icon.
  • Deleting a provider is permanent and cannot be undone. Any appointments or patient visit data associated with that provider will remain in the system, but the provider field will appear blank.
  • Keep your provider list accurate and up to date to ensure the system runs smoothly.

You have successfully added a new user. You can return to the Manage Users list at any time to block, disable, edit, delete, or reset credentials for any user in the system.
