How to Run the Transaction Summary Report in Practice Mate

The Transaction Summary Report allows you to view, by date, the number of visits and their charges, as well as payment activity. This includes the number and total amount of payments posted, payments applied, and adjustments applied.

Before We Begin

Make sure you have access to Practice Mate, including the Accounting tab.

Steps to Run the Transaction Summary Report

  1. Access the Report
  • Log into Practice Mate.
  • Click on the Accounting tab in the top menu.
  • Hover over Reports and select Transaction Summary Report.
  1. Select Grouping Option
  • Use the Group By drop-down to choose how you want the data displayed:
  • Day
  • Month
  1. Choose Date or Date Range
  • Based on your grouping selection, choose a specific date or a date range.
  1. Select Provider
  • Use the Provider drop-down to select:
  • All Providers
  • A specific provider from your list
  1. Choose Display Option
  • Select how you want payments to appear:
  • Separate Insurance and Patient Payments
  • Group All Payments
  1. Generate the Report
  • Click the Go button.
  • The report will display in the section below with your selected criteria.

This report provides a clear overview of daily or monthly financial activity, helping you track visits, charges, payments, and adjustments efficiently.
