How to Use Blood Sugar Logs in EHR 24/7

Office Ally’s EHR 24/7 includes a feature that allows you to create and manage Blood Sugar Logs for patients. Follow the steps below to set up and use this feature.

Steps to Create and Manage Blood Sugar Logs

  1. Navigate to the Blood Sugar Logs
  • From the patient’s chart, hover over the Others option in the top menu.
  • Under the Chart Information section, click Blood Sugar Logs from the drop-down menu.
  1. Set Target Blood Sugar Ranges
  • On the Blood Sugar Log page, you can define a Target Blood Sugar Range for the following:
  • Before Meals: Enter the “mg/dL from” and “mg/dL to” range.
  • After Meals: Enter the “mg/dL from” and “mg/dL to” range.
  • You can also enter the patient’s A1c Level and A1c Goal.
  • Click Update to save your changes.
  1. Add a Log Entry
  • Click the Add Log Entry button to open the entry pop-up window.
  • Select the Date for the record at the top of the window.
  • Use the Time of Day and Blood Sugar columns to enter readings for:
  • Fasting
  • Breakfast
  • Mid-Morning
  • Lunch
  • Mid-Afternoon
  • Dinner
  • Bedtime
  • 2–3 AM
  • In the Insulin Dose column, record the insulin amount taken at:
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Bedtime
  • Add any relevant notes in the Comments section at the bottom of the page.
  • Click Add to save the log entry.
  1. Delete a Log Entry
  • To delete an entry, check the box to the left of the record.
  • Click Delete Log Entry to remove it from the log.

You can continue adding and managing log entries as needed to maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of the patient’s blood sugar levels.
