Description:    Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is migrating all data from the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system managed by Gainwell Technologies to their new EDI vendor, Deloitte. With the migration to the new Deloitte EDI, there are several dates which may impact your line(s) of business as the state decommissions the current system.

Production access to the new Deloitte system will be available beginning on February 1 to resume EDI exchange activity. Below are the decommission dates for EDI transactions leading up to the February 1 launch.  During these dates, Office Ally will hold submitted claims until February 1 for submission to Medicaid Ohio.

  • Friday, January 20, at 5 p.m. (ET) is the final date to submit the ODM-06306 835 designation form. Any forms submitted after this time will not be accepted. The new EDI support team, Deloitte, will begin accepting the ODM-06306 835 designation form beginning February 1.
  • Wednesday, January 25, at 5 p.m. (ET) is the final date for Office Ally to submit 837 claim transactions to the payer. This will allow all claims submitted to the current Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) to have time to be adjudicated before the final financial cycle.  To allow processing time at Office Ally, providers should submit their claims to Medicaid Ohio no later than 5 pm (ET) on Tuesday, January 24.
  • On Thursday, February 2, the final 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) from MITS will be delivered to Office Ally for distribution to providers.

Provider Action Required:  Providers should submit their Medicaid Ohio claims to Office Ally no later than 5 pm (ET) on Tuesday, January 24 to meet the payer’s submission deadline.   ERA enrollment forms will not be accepted by the payer between Friday, January 20 at 5 pm (ET) and January 31.
